The eyes are the windows of the soul and what better way to frame them than with picture perfect eyebrows? Eyebrow tattooing is fast becoming one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the UK. When done correctly by a fully trained specialist, the procedure gives the illusion of wonderfully shaped eyebrows. And, let’s face it, getting your eyebrows right takes a lot of time and effort on a daily basis. Who wouldn’t want to wake up every day with their brows ready to go?
The benefits of Eyebrow Semi-Permanent Make-up
If you’re wondering whether or not to have your eyebrows tattooed, then perhaps I can help. People with sparse or thinning eyebrows see a real benefit from having the procedure. Similarly, people with health conditions such as cancer or alopecia can get their confidence back by having a specialist create well-defined eyebrows for them. Eyebrow Semi-Permanent Make-up is also extremely beneficial for you if you have unsteady hands or vision problems. Eyebrow tattooing is great for most people from all walks of life who are willing to invest in their looks and who love to look great. Still undecided? Eyebrow Semi-Permanent Make-up:
Helps frame your face and feel and look younger
Fills in your eyebrows for a more complete look
Increases your confidence
Stays on all day and all night
Saves you time in the morning for make-up application and at night, less removal
Reduces wear on your skin as there is less removal of make-up
Lasts between 4-5 years, with annual colour boost top-up treatments applied
Saves you money on make-up purchases
Preparing for Eyebrow Semi-Permanent Make-up
When you’re preparing for an eyebrow tattoo, people who care about their looks should only ever go to an expert specialist who obtains the relevant qualifications and has received the necessary training. I, myself specialise in eyebrow semi-permanent make-up having attended Layla Hinchin’s Permanent Make-up, Aesthetics and Training clinic in March 2022. Specialists will be able to expertly create a natural look without any problems at all.
Finding a good specialist
There are many ways you can find a good specialist. You can take a look at their portfolio to see their other work. You can also hop onto social media to read their reviews. It’s important to ask the therapist about their insurance too. Often, untrained and inexperienced eyebrow tattooists are not insured. Also, if a price seems strangely cheap, run away as fast as you can!
How long does it take?
You’ll have the picture-perfect eyebrow tattoos of your dreams within three sessions. Following an initial consultation appointment, your first treatment session will be where the pigment is first applied. Then, 6-8 weeks later you have another appointment to check how your brows are doing. Your specialist may then go over some of the original strokes, tweak the shape a little, darken your brows or add extra strokes depending on how you like your brows. In order to maintain the effect, you can expect to need to return for a colour boost top-up approximately every 10 months, although this will vary from person to person.
So, what’s the verdict?
The whole process only takes a couple of appointments and is virtually pain-free. When you have your new brows, any extra grooming is minimal. Again, it’s crucial to only go to a professional specialist to avoid scarring the skin in your brow area.
